π (pi) is one of the most important symbols in mathematics, equal to the circumference of a circle divided by its diameter. The Greek symbol is beautiful (says this math aficionado), hence this three-dimensional version. The π is made in diabas, which after sufficient sanding gets a beautiful surface in which you can see galaxies floating.
