Letters van Utrecht
2000 – forever, cobblestones in the pavement, 7 m per year
Every Saturday at 13 hour a stone is taken from the pavement along the canal ‘Oude Gracht’ in the city centre, a letter is carved at the spot by one of the contributors to this project, and put back in the pavement. Very slowly a poem is created along the streets of Utrecht. The poem is made by poets from Utrecht, and cut by letter carvers from around the country. The poem grows as long as there are Saterdays.
